Founder Ray Land began his journey in 2008, leaving Missouri with his contractor’s license to support recovery efforts following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Tasked with opening a claims office in Key West, Florida for a major adjusting firm, Ray gained critical, real-world experience in large-scale loss environments. After relocating to the Orlando area, he spent years as an Independent Adjuster, writing claims for more than 35 insurance carriers and working with some of the industry’s leading IA firms.

Ray later advanced to Senior File Examiner, where he trained adjusters and reviewed hundreds of claims each week. This role gave him a rare, behind-the-scenes understanding of how insurance companies evaluate and approve claims, specifically what they look for and how documentation must be written to achieve results. Known for bridging the gap between carriers, contractors, and property owners, Ray recognized he could make a greater impact by working directly with contractors.

In 2019, Ray partnered with his son Justin to launch MAX4 Claims Specialists. Together, they built MAX4 to equip contractors and building owners with a partner who could bring them the tools, proof, and support needed to navigate complex storm damage claims with confidence.
